"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be given to you." Mark 11:24

There is power in prayer and in putting our faith in God and trusting His plan and timing. We may not always have our prayers answered the way we expect or on our timeline. But this verse reminds us that God’s plan is greater than our own, and we must trust in His timing and His will for our lives.

Most of our team has gone home for the Holidays, so as a base we don't have much going on. As such, one of my prayers recently has been for doors to be opened to do more in Almuñécar; more ministry opportunities, more ways we can serve. At one point, I was spending time in God's word and asking Him "In what ways can I serve the community here? What more do you have for me? Would you please open the doors?" The next day, I was walking home from getting groceries and bumped into a shop owner in town. We chatted for a little, and then out of the blue he asked me if I would be interested in teaching him English. I immediately jumped at the opportunity and said "YES, I would LOVE to do that with you." Wow wow wow, how amazing is our God.

Youth Encounter

We held our second youth encounter on October 18th, and I am thrilled to share that it was a huge success! As I mentioned in my last newsletter, our first encounter went so well, with three youth in attendance. But for this second one, we had over 30 young people join us—WOW! We had so many that we have already outgrown the church we have been using. It’s incredible how God has taken this ministry and dream of mine and has multiplied it beyond what I could've imagined. The growth we've seen in this ministry, especially after just our second event, is truly overwhelming. I am filled with so much gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead and how

God will continue to move, expanding this ministry and

reaching more youth in Almuñécar and the surrounding towns.

Fall Fest

This fall we also held our third annual Fall Fest event on November 5th. Even though it was rescheduled because of the flooding happening elsewhere in Spain, almost 300 children and parents showed up and enjoyed games, crafts, candy, and of course, dinosaurs! We also had 40 volunteers, representing 5 churches and 2 YWAM bases! It was so cool to see the impact this event made in our community and it can be hard to put into words the joy and fun we had so here is a video of the event.

Other events

As a team, we were a part of the 50th anniversary of YWAM Spain, where YWAM missionaries from all over Spain got together for fellowship, community, and celebration. It was very encouraging to hear how YWAM Spain started, how much it has grown, and to see how the elders, the youth, and the kids were honored.

A few of us were also able to serve at a

"Creation Conference" at a church in Sevilla. We served in the kids ministry, doing our own little teaching on the creation of the world for the kids. Of course, we had to bring out the dinosaurs too :) and at the end, we performed a dance for all the parents. It was so fun, and the kids really enjoyed it!

These testimonies have been a huge reminder for me that when we come to God with open and thankful hearts, and a readiness to serve, He paves the way and multiplies it tenfold. I am filled with so much gratitude and joy seeing Him at work in me, in our base, in our ministries, and in this town.

Prayer requests:

  • Christmas ministry: As a team, it is on our hearts to do something for the community here for Christmas. Prayers for guidance and wisdom in how we can serve.

  • YWAM building: We are still looking for a place for our YWAM base here in the city. Would you join us in praying for a building so that we can expand our ministries and have room to take in more people?

If you feel led to give financially, here is a link to my donation page! Thank you all for your continued love and support.
